Some people thought it was all over, but it ain't. See you tomorrow.

  3. 'Two monster first frames tomorrow'published at 22:32 5 May

That's more impressive than anything Jak's done in the Championship so far, tonight. To even bring this final alive, to make it a final.

Because it was dead after the afternoon session to be honest - but he's brought it alive.

And wow, the first two frames tomorrow - monster frames. If he loses both of them, it's all over, so he's got to get like a coiled spring ready to come out and win them.

  4. 'Proud of the way I held it together'published at 22:31 5 May

    Wilson 11-6 Jones

Kyren Wilson speaking to BBC Two after ending the day 11-6 up on Jak Jones: "I felt Jak played really well tonight. It's not all about the scoreline, it's about how the frame was won and there was obviously a lot of tension in there.

"I'm proud of the way I held it together. I had in my head I wanted to get to 11 tonight having been on seven (after the afternoon session). Target achieved.

"I've scored pretty well. I'm just loving every minute out there. The atmosphere is fantastic. I'm very blessed and grateful I've been able to experience this in front of a packed house, having been robbed of that through Covid (in the 2020 final)."

  5. 'A long way to go'published at 22:28 5 May

    John Parrott
1991 world champion on BBC Two

At 7-0 down, if you'd said to Jak Jones 11-6, he'd have said 'thank you very much'.

There's a long way to go in this match still - Kyren still needs seven frames to get to that magical 18.

  6. 'I'm still in the match'published at 22:27 5 May

    Wilson 11-6 Jones

Jak Jones speaking to BBC Two:

"It's a miracle that I'm still in it as I played shocking. I'm still in the match.

"If I had a decent night's sleep last night I think I could probably have done something today, it could have been different.

"Get a good night's sleep, come out flying tomorrow and things could happen."

  7. 'Five-frame lead is big'published at 22:25 5 May

I think that might be his World Championship gone, losing that frame.

A five-frame lead going into day two is big.

  8. 'Absolutely massive frame'published at 22:23 5 May

    John Virgo
1979 UK Championship winner on BBC Two

Jak thought he would play the double and if it didn't go in it would run safe.

But he got so close that it stayed near the pocket.

That was an absolutely massive frame - Jak will be deflated. Fist-pump from Kyren Wilson.

  9. Wilson wins final frame of sessionpublished at 22:22 5 May

    Wilson 11-6 Jones

    In it goes.

Kyren Wilson will be a very, very relieved man.

Goodness me, Wilson over-cuts it too. Horrible cut now for Jones, so acute.

He goes for it, misses.... but the black runs safe.

Tempter of a long cut for Jak Jones....

Both players exchanging safeties on the black.

Jak Jones' heart is in his mouth as his effort goes very close to leaving it up but the ball just nestles on the cushion and is unpottable.
